Minecraft Next: Aerial Views

In aerial view, you should be able to zoom out on a very large land area like an RTS game. This would be applicable for war strategy and many other purposes as well.

Duh. Minecraft is Pixelated.

Is Minecraft a game that can run on slow devices, or is Minecraft a game that is simply zoomed in much further than you had thought?

OK, it can be both.

As mentioned in another blog post, this might require upgrading a lookout tower to be bigger and taller. Then, aerial view interfaces could be implemented from special buildings for their respective purposes.

Prerequisites to Aerial View for Strategy

1. enhance vehicles and/or soldiers with magic cameras
2. build lookout tower
3. enhance lookout tower(s) with magic cameras and increased view area
4. create cornerstone for tactical base building
5. build tactical base building
6. construct and insert special item into tactical base building
7. enter the tactical base
8. click on its special item
9. Enter into strategy mode with aerial view

note: this should allow the player to still zoom in to any area as if on the ground.
